The latest Twitter app for iPhone now makes it easier than ever to send Direct Messages to those accounts that already follow you.

Essentially the App has caught up with the cog function on the desktop version, but in an era of busy-business, this is a nice change. You can now DM someone directly from their profile & Bio page.
New way to Direct message people on Twitter who do not follow you…. on the way?
To date, you have only been able to Direct Message (DM) people who follow you, however there does look to be some testing going on to allow accounts to allow anyone to send them a DM. Watch this space
